They were selected as recipients of the Young Scholar Excellent Paper Award, given to a total of four teams, at the Korean Trade and Commerce Association Winter Academic Conference held recently at Aram Hall on the 7th floor of the Humanities, Social Sciences, and Business Building at Pukyong National University.

Master's student YANG FEI presented the paper titled "Importance Factor Analysis and Implications of Korean Experience Factors on Souvenirs at Chinese Tourist Destinations" (Advisor: Professor Lee Chun-soo).

Master's student HATTAB ABDELAZIZ received the award for his paper titled "The Ripple Effects of Global Carbon Emission Regulation Legislation on the Steel Industries of Korea, China, and Japan" (Advisor: Professor Yoo Jung-ho).

In his paper, he used a Computable General Equilibrium (CGE) model to analyze the ripple effects of the European Union's Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) and the United States' Clean Competition Act (CCA) on the production, export, and competitiveness of the steel industries in Korea, China, and Japan. His work was recognized for providing empirical evidence to support the formulation of response strategies by each country.

The Korean Trade and Commerce Association's recent Winter Academic Conference was held under the theme "Uncertainty in the Trade Environment and Korea's Response," featuring a total of eight sessions including trade-investment, international management, ESG, and environmental sessions, where academic presentations and research exchanges took place.
