Time for Discussion and Communication to Revitalize Civic Society's Public Interest Activities
Guri City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Kyung-hyun) announced on the 26th that it held the '2nd Public Interest Activity Promotion Committee Meeting of 2024' on the 24th at the situation room on the 3rd floor of City Hall.

At the meeting, attended by 13 committee members including Kim Jeong-chun, Chairperson of the Guri City Public Interest Activity Promotion Committee, the business department explained the agenda item, the '2025 Public Interest Activity Support Project Promotion Plan (draft),' followed by a variety of in-depth discussions. As a result, all 13 attending members unanimously approved the original proposal.
Chairperson Kim Jeong-chun stated, “The role of civic groups and public interest activists is increasingly important to solve the diversifying social problems,” adding, “The Guri City Public Interest Activity Promotion Committee will also take the lead in creating a prosperous and livable Guri City in line with this trend.”
Mayor Baek Kyung-hyun of Guri City said, “I ask the committee members to pool their knowledge, experience, and passion to address the pressing issues in Guri City and to present the vision and direction for public interest activities that Guri City will pursue,” and added, “Guri City will continue to strive to lead the initiative and cooperation of the local civil society.”
The Guri City Public Interest Activity Promotion Committee consists of 15 members representing citizen activities in various fields and performs review and advisory roles for the development of the local community and the revitalization of public interest activities.
