Busan Office of Education Announces First Round Passers of Public and Private Secondary Teacher Employment Exam

Second Exam on January 15 and 21-22 Next Year

On the 26th at 10 a.m., the Busan Metropolitan Office of Education announced 1,074 successful candidates for the ‘2025 Academic Year Public and Private Middle School Teacher (including health, librarian, professional counseling, nutrition, and special middle school subjects) Appointment Candidate Selection Competitive 1st Exam’ on the Office of Education website.


For public school candidates, 1.5 times the planned number of recruits per subject were selected, and all candidates with tied scores were accepted. In the general category, 776 candidates passed out of 498 recruits, and in the disability category, 6 candidates passed out of 42 recruits.


Among the 46 private school corporations that entrusted the exam to the Busan Office of Education, 292 candidates were selected out of 115 recruits. Among them, 54 candidates passed both public and private school applications simultaneously. For private school corporations, the number of candidates selected in the 1st exam was 3 to 5 times the planned number depending on the corporation.


The 2nd exam will be held on January 15 next year at test sites including Busan Student Education and Culture Center, Busan Physical Education High School, and Busan Technical High School, where practical exams for seven subjects?music, art, physical education, electricity, electronics, machinery, and information/computer?will be conducted. Among these, physical education, which has many applicants, will be held over two days until the 16th.


Then, on January 21 and 22, at Busan Electronics Technical High School, Yeomyeong Middle School, Dongnae Horticulture High School, and Gyeongnam Technical High School, tests such as ‘lesson plan preparation,’ ‘class demonstration,’ and ‘in-depth interview on teaching aptitude’ will be conducted.


Among the private school corporations, 18 that entrusted the 2nd exam will take part in some parts of the 2nd exam conducted by the Office of Education, while 28 corporations that only entrusted the 1st exam will conduct the 2nd exam independently.


The final successful candidates for public schools will be announced on February 11 next year via the Office of Education website, and for private schools that entrusted the 2nd exam to the Office of Education, announcements will be made through the respective school corporations.
