According to a government official on the 26th, the Military Manpower Administration has stated that if the police investigation confirms that Song had issues with his service attitude, even if his discharge has already been processed, the discharge decision could be revoked and he may be required to serve again for the problematic period. However, it appears that the Military Manpower Administration will not conduct an internal investigation.

As the controversy grew, Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon announced, "I have ordered an 'urgent full-scale survey on the service status of social service agents' targeting Seoul city and its affiliated organizations," adding, "We will take strict measures based on the survey results and, if necessary, propose improvements to the Military Manpower Administration for a fair military service system."

Song, who is at the center of the 'social service agent attendance controversy,' served as a social service agent at a facility in Mapo-gu, Seoul, from March last year until completing his service on the 23rd. However, a media outlet reported on the 17th that he was suspected of not properly performing his duties. At that time, Song reportedly submitted a medical certificate and took sick leave, and did not attend work even on his last day of service.

His agency, YG Entertainment, explained at the time, "The sick leave was an extension of treatment he had been receiving before his service, and all other leaves were used according to regulations." Song Minho currently has no official schedule following his discharge. YG is expected to monitor the investigation closely and await the results.
