Chaebi (CEO Younghoon Choi), the No.1 domestic electric vehicle fast charging CPO company, announced on the 26th that it is intensifying its North American market strategy by launching a new 400kW ultra-fast charger.
The newly launched 400kW ultra-fast charger by Chaebi has obtained NRTL (Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory) certification, meeting the strict safety and quality standards of the United States. Having previously established its presence by successfully exporting 120kW and 180kW fast chargers to the North American market, Chaebi has now completed a broad lineup covering from fast to ultra-fast charging with the release of the 400kW ultra-fast charger.
The 400kW ultra-fast charger features a 500A water-cooled cable, enabling high-voltage vehicles such as Hyundai and Porsche to charge from 20% to 80% within approximately 10 minutes. It also supports both the DC Combo standard and the NACS (Tesla) standard simultaneously, making it compatible with many electric vehicles currently operating in North America. In particular, its IP55-rated integrated design significantly reduces initial installation costs, alleviating the investment burden for charging infrastructure and attracting high interest in the North American market.
On the software side, Chaebi has commercialized for the first time in the world a preventive diagnostic program that monitors the status of key modules in real time and executes predictive maintenance, maximizing charger uptime. Additionally, even in the event of a malfunction, the remote control function allows immediate response to most situations without dispatching service technicians, greatly enhancing maintenance efficiency. Through this, operators can increase charger utilization rates, and consumers receive a stable and reliable charging experience, providing differentiated competitiveness compared to other chargers.
North America is one of the largest global markets with rapidly increasing electric vehicle demand, where the need for ultra-fast charging continues to grow for electric trucks such as the Tesla Cybertruck, autonomous taxis, and buses. In this environment, Chaebi plans to strengthen its position in the market by providing optimized charging solutions to North American consumers and operators through the 400kW ultra-fast charger.
Younghoon Choi, CEO of Chaebi, stated, “The launch of the 400kW ultra-fast charger is an important starting point to strengthen Chaebi’s competitiveness in the North American market and to establish itself as a central player in the global electric vehicle charging ecosystem.” He added, “We will continue to lead the development of global electric vehicle ultra-fast charging infrastructure technology through innovative technology and customer-centric services.”
Meanwhile, Chaebi is leading the development of electric vehicle charging infrastructure and services, including spearheading research and development of the high-efficiency MCS (Megawatt Charging System) capable of charging at speeds up to 1200kW, as the main operator of the national energy technology development project.
