Ranked 1st Among 22 Cities and Counties in Nakdonggang Watershed Resident Support Projects
Yangsan City in Gyeongnam was selected as an "Excellent Institution" in the Resident Support Project category of the "2023 Fiscal Year Nakdong River Basin Fund Project Performance Evaluation" conducted by the Nakdong River Basin Environmental Office of the Ministry of Environment, and received an institutional commendation.

This fund project performance evaluation is conducted to enhance the sound execution of fund management and operation and improve the efficiency of project implementation for projects supported by the fund. Yangsan City ranked first (Excellent) among 22 institutions (cities and counties) in the Resident Support Project category. Institutions selected as "Excellent" receive incentives such as increased fund support for the project, advanced case study training, and prize money.
Yangsan City is continuously promoting projects to increase income and improve welfare by listening to residents' demands to create a water source management area that is eco-friendly and a village where ecology thrives, contributing to the supply of clean water and water quality improvement.
Lee Sang-mi, Director of the Water Quality Management Division, said, "We are pleased to have achieved the honor of being selected as 'Excellent' in the Resident Support Project category for three consecutive years from 2022 to this year," and added, "We will continue to do our best to ensure transparency in fund project execution and select substantial projects to actively promote."
