Samsung Electronics Unveils 'Home Heat Pump EHS' for the First Time in the US Market at CES 2025

Sales in Over 40 European Countries
Two Indoor Units and One Outdoor Unit Unveiled

Samsung Electronics announced on the 25th that it will unveil its home heat pump EHS products at CES 2025, the world's largest IT and electronics exhibition held in Las Vegas, USA, starting from the 7th of next month, and will actively target the US HVAC market.

EHS products are used for floor heating and hot water supply in residential and commercial buildings. They use air heat and electricity to produce hot water, making them more efficient and generating less carbon than boilers that use fossil fuels.

Samsung Electronics currently sells home heat pump EHS products in more than 40 countries across Europe. Next year, it plans to expand into the US market.

The EHS products scheduled for release in the US market include two indoor units: the 'Climate Hub Mono' equipped with a dedicated 200ℓ water tank, and the wall-mounted 'Hydro Unit Mono,' as well as one outdoor unit, the 'Mono R32 HT Quiet.'

The two indoor units are equipped with a 7-inch touchscreen-based 'AI Home.' This allows convenient device control and indoor temperature settings through a 3D map view. When using solar power (PV), linking the PV module to SmartThings enables easy monitoring of solar energy usage.

Samsung Electronics explained that the slim-fit design with a depth of 600mm blends well with built-in furniture. The wall-mounted Hydro Unit Mono can be freely installed in various spaces such as kitchens and laundry rooms.

The outdoor unit, Mono R32 HT Quiet, features powerful performance and a sleek design that does not spoil the exterior aesthetics of buildings.

Energy efficiency is designed to be 10% higher than the highest grade SCOP A+++. It uses R32 refrigerant, which has a global warming potential (GWP) about 32% that of the conventional R410 refrigerant.

It can supply hot water up to 70 degrees Celsius and delivers 100% heating performance even in extreme conditions as low as minus 25 degrees Celsius.

Choi Hang-seok, Executive Director of Samsung Electronics' Digital Appliances (DA) Division, said, "We will actively target the US market with home heat pump EHS products that not only offer high performance and high efficiency but also come equipped with AI Home and SmartThings for more convenient energy management."
