Gyeonggi-do Northern Special Response Team Selected as 'Excellent Integrated Response 119 Special Response Team'

Conducted for 19 Special Response Units and 4 Special Rescue Teams Nationwide
Key Evaluations on Efforts to Improve Integrated Response Capabilities and Rescue Competencies

The Gyeonggi-do Northern Special Response Team announced on the 25th that it was selected as an outstanding organization in the '2024 Excellent Integrated Response 119 Special Response Team Selection' evaluation hosted by the National Fire Agency.

This evaluation was conducted targeting 19 special response teams and 4 special rescue teams belonging to the Central 119 Rescue Headquarters. Key evaluation criteria included integrated response capability, participation in the national firefighting skills competition, and efforts to improve rescue capabilities.

The National Fire Agency selected the Gyeonggi-do Northern Special Response Team, Gyeongbuk 119 Special Response Team, and Yeongnam 119 Special Rescue Team as outstanding institutions, and plans to award the Fire Agency Commissioner’s Commendation to one outstanding member from each organization.

The achievement of the Gyeonggi-do Northern Special Response Team reflects continuous efforts to strengthen the disaster response system and ensure public safety. The team self-assessed that this accomplishment was based on systematic enhancement of rescue capabilities aligned with evaluation standards and practical technical skills.

Lee Je-cheol, head of the Gyeonggi-do Northern Special Response Team, said, “Thanks to the dedication of our members, we were able to achieve good results,” and added, “I hope they will continue to prioritize public safety and do their best in their assigned roles.”
