Seo Taiji Shares Update with Fans on Christmas Eve
Singer Seo Taiji referred to his song title "Sidae Yugam" (Regret of the Times) to comment on the impeachment turmoil following the December 3 martial law incident, saying, "Another impeachment at the time of welcoming 2025, what a Sidae Yugam."
On the afternoon of the 24th, Seo Taiji wrote on the official social networking service (SNS) of his agency, Seo Taiji Company, "These days, South Korea is bustling with the impeachment turmoil after seven years," expressing his thoughts.

He continued, "It seems our Palo (fans) also participated a lot in the rallies, but is there still a functioning light stick?" and added, "I heard many people in their 20s participated, which reminded me of us who fought together back in the day, and I felt proud." Then he said, "Now, let's become unchanging uncles and aunts who can support the young people leading the future."
Seo Taiji mentioned his children and reflected, "Looking back 10 years ago, there was the release of the 9th album containing the Christmas miracle, 10 years before that was Robot's 7th album, and 10 years before that was the 3rd album in 1994," adding, "We have made many memories over 30 years, and now 2025 is just around the corner."
Seo Taiji concluded by saying that although the current situation is chaotic, he hopes everyone has a warm and safe Christmas. He said, "I will come back again, so don't worry too much, everyone stay healthy, and let's welcome an exciting 2025."
Meanwhile, Seo Taiji shares updates only once a year on Christmas Eve through his agency's SNS. "Sidae Yugam" is a track from Seo Taiji and Boys' 4th album. It is one of the representative songs known for its socially critical message. When it was released in 1995, the lyrics expressing disillusionment with the establishment were subject to prior review by the Korea Performance Ethics Committee, so Seo Taiji included only the instrumental version without lyrics on the album. Due to fans' signature campaigns, the prior review system for albums was abolished in 1996, and this incident became one of the reasons Seo Taiji was called the "Cultural President."
