Namyangju-si Opens Human Book Winter School... Winter Vacation Exploration Activities

Namyangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Ju Gwang-deok) announced on the 24th that it will operate a special program called ‘Human Book Winter School’ at the Human Book Library inside the Jeong Yak-yong Library from January 9 to February 24, coinciding with the winter vacation of elementary school students.

This program is designed to help students and their parents cultivate creativity and curiosity through various learning and experiences during the vacation period.


In January, the following Human Book lectures will be held: △ Min Mi-ho Human Book (Expressing Myself Through Music) △ Joo Jin-soon Human Book (Learning Fun Science Magic) △ Park Shin-sun Human Book (Welcome, Is This Your First Time in Middle School?) △ Kim Do-yeon Human Book (Let’s Tie Knots!) △ Park Seo-hee Human Book (Stories of Namyangju Cultural Heritage).


Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis for Namyangju elementary school students. Students wishing to participate can apply through the Namyangju Lifelong Learning Portal Dasan Seodang from the 24th until January 7.


A Namyangju city official said, “We hope that through this ‘Human Book Winter School,’ children will have a meaningful and enjoyable time during their winter vacation,” and added, “We will continue to do our best to provide various learning and cultural programs to our citizens.”

Meanwhile, Namyangju City operates various programs such as △ Visiting Human Book △ Regular Programs △ 1:1 On-demand Reading through the talent-sharing platform ‘Human Book Library,’ where people become books to share knowledge and experiences, connecting over 400 Human Books with citizens.
