2024 Urban Regeneration University Graduation Ceremony Successfully Held
The Urban Regeneration Support Center of Uijeongbu City, Gyeonggi Province, announced on the 24th that it successfully held the '2024 Urban Regeneration University Graduation Ceremony' on the 19th.
This graduation ceremony was organized to enhance residents' capabilities and increase their participation in urban regeneration projects, and it was conducted with enthusiastic responses from the graduates.
This year's Urban Regeneration University was designed to help understand the urban regeneration projects promoted by Uijeongbu City and to facilitate smooth project implementation through various programs including ▲basic theory lectures ▲practical activities ▲field trips.
Under the theme of 'Revitalizing Local Value through Local Support,' the program focused on residents taking the lead in discovering resources of the city and villages and exploring development plans, with 15 people graduating.
The lectures were systematically conducted through a 9-session course consisting of ▲urban regeneration practice utilizing local assets ▲Urban Area Innovation Expo (Daegu) ▲value revitalization cases ▲practical idea workshops linked to Uijeongbu City's urban regeneration projects ▲local field training.
The Urban Regeneration Support Center plans to actively promote resident-led urban regeneration projects based on the specific ideas proposed by the graduates during this educational course.
An official from the Urban Regeneration Division of Uijeongbu City said, “This Urban Regeneration University provided an opportunity for residents to grow as key agents of local development,” adding, “We will continue to create urban regeneration that grows together with residents through ongoing education and support.”
