Unlike early admission, regular admission allows only one application per recruitment group, and duplicate applications within the same group are not permitted. Therefore, applicants must check the recruitment group of the university they intend to apply to. Since the trend of supplementary admissions in regular recruitment varies by recruitment group, it is necessary to establish a strategy by identifying whether there have been changes in recruitment groups and numbers compared to the previous year.

Kim Byung-jin, director of the Etoos Education Evaluation Research Institute, advised, "Generally, supplementary admissions for the recruitment units I applied to occur because examinees positioned in the upper sample are admitted to recruitment units in other groups and withdraw." He added, "You should not only consider the recruitment group placement available based on your own scores but also examine the universities and recruitment units that examinees positioned higher than you are likely to apply for."

Attention should also be paid to basic procedures such as different application deadlines for each university. Among the 15 major universities in the Seoul area, nine universities including Kyung Hee University close applications on the last day, January 3.
