The Senior Welfare Fund Project supports leisure culture and welfare projects for seniors with the aim of enhancing senior welfare and ensuring a stable life within the limits of the operating income of the Senior Welfare Fund.

In 2025, the contest will be held for five fields including education, volunteering, leisure, and welfare, as well as the "Residential Environment Improvement Project for Seniors with Dementia."

For the "Five Senior Welfare Fields Contest," which does not specify project content, three branches of the Korean Senior Citizens Association in Goyang City are eligible to apply. For the designated project contest, "Residential Environment Improvement Project for Seniors with Dementia," nonprofit corporations and institutions (organizations) performing public interest projects within the city can apply.

The "Residential Environment Improvement Project for Seniors with Dementia" provides cleaning services in collaboration with professional cleaning companies for the homes of seniors with severe dementia, supporting a clean and organized living environment for seniors with dementia and their caregivers, thereby helping emotional stability.

Institutions selected for the "Residential Environment Improvement Project for Seniors with Dementia" contest will promote the project through agreements or contracts with professional cleaning companies.

Members of the selected institutions will complete the Dementia Partner Plus online education and apply for volunteer activities on the Dementia Partner website, then participate in home cleaning volunteer activities.

Application forms can be downloaded from the "Notices and Announcements" section on the Goyang City website. Applications can be submitted by visiting the Senior Support Team of the Senior Welfare Division at City Hall or by mail.

Meanwhile, in 2024, the Goyang City Senior Welfare Fund Project executed a total of 64.92 million KRW for 23 projects by 16 organizations, discovering and supporting areas that practically help seniors. In 2025, it plans to support 60 million KRW and will strive for cooperation with local nonprofit corporations, organizations, and public health centers to improve the residential environment for seniors with dementia in addition to supporting senior cultural and leisure activities.
