BizProfile Usage Reaches 2.3 Billion Times

The cumulative number of creations on Carrot's local marketing channel 'Biz Profile' has reached 2 million.

Local community platform Carrot announced this on the 24th by releasing the ‘2024 Carrot Boss Year-End Settlement’ data. This year-end settlement includes key data from services actively used by neighborhood small business owners over the past year, such as Biz Profile, Carrot Alba, and Carrot Story, as well as the main factors and achievements that established Carrot as a regional marketing platform.

Daangn 'Biz Profile' Surpasses 2 Million Accumulated Profiles

First, the cumulative usage count of Biz Profile reached 2.3 billion, a 40% increase compared to the same period last year. Notably, the top Biz Profile industries with the highest usage this year were ‘Nail Shop’ and ‘Eyelash Perm,’ ranking first and second respectively, followed by the ‘Yongdal’ service, which is sought after for moving or transporting heavy items, ranking third.

The number of neighborhood customers who ‘become regulars’ at their favorite local stores on Carrot and receive real-time updates from the stores also increased significantly. The number of Biz Profile users who ‘become regulars’ reached 7.8 million, a 53% increase compared to last year.

‘Carrot Story,’ which delivers store news through vivid short-form videos, rapidly grew as an effective marketing tool among neighborhood small business owners. About one year after its official launch, the average daily short-form uploads increased 60-fold, and views increased 24-fold, establishing it as an effective promotional channel across various industries. The industries with the most short-form uploads were restaurants, cafes, and desserts in first place, followed by beauty shops (2nd) and fitness (3rd). Many cases involved introducing the signature menu of newly opened restaurants through videos or using them to introduce facilities and programs for recruiting fitness classes.

The usage rate of the location-based job service ‘Carrot Alba’ also increased significantly. Actively connecting needed workers for both short-term part-time jobs and full-time positions, the number of applications for job postings on Carrot Alba increased by 130% compared to last year.

Kim Chang-joo, head of Carrot Market’s regional business division, said, “We will continue to introduce services that can contribute to revitalizing the local economy.”
