The reopening of the "Taean 5-Day Market" after 35 years has been selected as the "Best Policy" that shined the most in Taean County, Chungnam Province this year.
The county announced on the 24th that, according to the evaluation results of the "Top 10 County Policies of 2024," the final selections included the opening of the Taean 5-Day Market, the opening of the Taean County Family Empathy Center, the proclamation of July 4 as Gyeokryeolbiyeoldo Day, the selection of Taean County Dementia Relief Center as the best institution, marine waste collection, proactive response to the climate crisis, the nation's first launch of a town and township-level Disabled Sports Association, selection of 31 large-scale public projects, the "Our Village True Senior Support Project," and the establishment of a rural waste collection system.
This selection was made to promote the main policies pursued by each department throughout the year, establish a work-centered organizational culture, and encourage the spread of achievements. Out of a total of 15 policies, the final 10 were chosen through a review by the internal evaluation committee on the 19th.
In addition to the top 10 policies, the county also achieved significant results in various fields, such as hosting the 1st Taean County Youth Day event, participating in the Warmth Sharing Campaign, promoting senior job and social activity support projects, holding a children's rights film festival, and expanding agricultural machinery services. The county expressed its commitment to continue discovering and implementing a variety of projects that will drive regional development next year.
County Governor Gasero said, "Despite difficult circumstances this year, we have achieved remarkable results thanks to the strength of our residents and the efforts of public officials," and added, "Next year, we will open a new chapter of progress in 2025 by ensuring the smooth implementation of projects in all areas of county administration."
