Gwangju and Jeonnam regions will see mostly cloudy skies with morning temperatures dropping below zero, resulting in cold weather.
According to the Gwangju Regional Meteorological Administration on the 23rd, the area was generally clear due to the influence of a high-pressure system located near the Shandong Peninsula in China.
On Christmas Eve, the 24th, Gwangju and Jeonnam are expected to be mostly clear, but clouds will increase from the afternoon, leading to overcast conditions.
The morning low temperatures are expected to be -3°C in Damyang and Hwasun, -2°C in Naju, Suncheon, and Yeongam, -1°C in Gwangju, Gwangyang, and Yeonggwang, 0°C in Muan and Haenam, 1°C in Yeosu, and 2°C in Mokpo and Wando. The daytime high temperatures will be around 10°C in Gwangyang, 9°C in Suncheon and Wando, 8°C in Yeosu and Haenam, 7°C in Gwangju, Naju, Mokpo, Muan, Yeongam, and Hwasun, and 6°C in Damyang and Yeonggwang, showing a similar distribution to yesterday.
Waves on the sea will range from 0.5 to 1.5 meters in the West Sea and 0.5 to 1 meter in the South Sea. Fine dust levels in both Gwangju and Jeonnam are expected to remain at 'moderate' levels.
A representative from the Gwangju Regional Meteorological Administration said, "As icy roads and black ice are expected on low-traffic roads, alleyways, sloped roads, and shaded areas due to the low temperatures, please pay special attention to traffic and pedestrian safety."
