Busan Urban Corporation Holds Worker Safety Slogan Contest

Safety and Health Activities with Direct Worker Participation

Discovering Effective Ideas and Enhancing Safety Culture

Busan Metropolitan Corporation (BMC, President Shin Chang-ho) held a 'Worker Safety Slogan Contest' in November targeting public housing construction sites managed by the corporation.

This contest was conducted as part of BMC's key initiative, the 'Worker-Centered Customized Safety Culture Campaign,' aimed at 'Preventing Construction Accidents and Achieving Zero Serious Accidents.'

Over the past two weeks, a total of 50 applications were received from five public housing construction sites, including Eco Delta City 18, 19, and 20BL public sale housing, and the Happy Housing in front of City Hall. Through first and second round evaluations, a total of six winning entries were selected.

The grand prize was awarded to the slogan "Building Tomorrow Today, Safety Comes First," selected by judges composed of private contractors, construction management teams, and BMC supervisors.

BMC plans to produce posters featuring the selected slogans and promote them at each construction site to encourage voluntary participation in safety activities among workers.

The grand prize winner said, "Participating in the contest allowed me to reflect once again on the importance of safety and made me aware that a small carelessness can lead to a major accident. I will strive to strictly follow safety rules and help establish a safety culture."

Shin Chang-ho, President of Busan Metropolitan Corporation, stated, "Through this contest, we expect workers to voluntarily develop safety awareness and establish a safety culture. Along with this, we will do our best to prevent construction accidents and achieve zero serious accidents through various safety culture activities such as the 'BMC Healing Truck Event.'"
