According to the legal community on the 23rd, the Anti-Corruption Investigation Division 2 of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office recently summoned and questioned former Minister Kim in a closed session on charges including obstruction of business. Former Minister Kim is accused of exerting influence over Korea Integrated Logistics through Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport officials, along with former Presidential Chief of Staff Noh Young-min and two political figures including Lee, to appoint them as advisors.

Korea Integrated Logistics is a company wholly owned by CJ Logistics. It operates by constructing cargo terminal facilities on land owned by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, and as a customary practice, has appointed full-time advisors recommended by the Ministry who have experience in logistics policy.

The prosecution is reportedly examining whether former Minister Kim, who was in office at the time, improperly intervened in Lee's employment process.
