Warm Sharing to Neighbors

Gyeonggi (Corporation) Namyangju Volunteer Center (Chairman Ju Gwang-deok) announced on the 23rd that on the 21st, it held the Christmas miracle event "Cake Carries Love" to practice warm neighbor sharing for the year-end and New Year at the 4th-floor auditorium of the Namyangju Volunteer Center.

This event was organized to deliver ‘Warmth Sharing Gift Sets’ consisting of cakes made directly by volunteers and winter supplies so that 200 marginalized neighbors in the region could have a warm Christmas.

The Warmth Sharing Gift Sets were prepared with warm support from the local community. △ Iljin Global Co., Ltd. donated 200 pairs of winter sleeping socks △ Namyangju e-Plaza donated 200 pairs of winter gloves △ Byeollae-dong Volunteer Group donated 200 coffee mixes and 200 ramen packs each △ Korea Life Improvement Association Namyangju Branch donated 216 citron teas, adding helping hands to the sharing.

In particular, during this activity, local volunteer groups composed of residents from each eup, myeon, and dong served as delivery volunteers and personally delivered gifts to the recipients, adding more meaning to the sharing.

Ju Gwang-deok, Mayor of Namyangju City, said, “Today is a very beautiful and warm day when volunteers themselves became Santa Claus and delivered love,” and added, “I deeply thank the volunteers for leading Namyangju City toward becoming a warm and happy welfare city.”
