Gyeonggi Province's Pocheon City (Mayor Baek Young-hyun) announced on the 23rd that it held the '2024 Pocheon Small and Medium Enterprise Excellent Product Purchase Consultation' at the Pocheon Business Center from the 19th to the 20th.

This purchase consultation was organized under the value of 'Businesses must thrive for Pocheon to thrive' to expand sales channels for small and medium enterprises and provide new business opportunities.
The event involved a total of 36 companies, including 32 buyer companies for purchase consultations and 4 consultant companies, conducting a total of 187 consultations with 36 small and medium enterprises within Pocheon City. Participating companies recorded approximately 11.2 billion KRW in on-site consultation amounts, confirming the competitiveness of Pocheon’s small and medium enterprises.
On the first day of the consultation, one-on-one purchase consultations were held between public institutions and local companies. On the second day, consultations continued with large corporate demand sources and distribution buyers. Through this, participating companies gained various business-related information and practical opportunities to develop sales channels.
Additionally, side events such as product exhibitions and marketing strategy seminars helped form human networks and showcase products.
Moreover, several small and medium enterprise support organizations, including the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), Gyeonggi Daejin Technopark, Gyeonggi Credit Guarantee Foundation, and Gyeonggi Economic Science Promotion Agency, participated to provide customized consulting such as export difficulty consultations, loan guarantee consultations, and on-site management difficulty resolution.
A representative from one participating company said, “The systematically prepared purchase consultation provided practical business opportunities and was very helpful,” adding, “We hope that Pocheon City will continue to operate such support programs in the future.”
Mayor Baek Young-hyun of Pocheon City stated, “This consultation served as an opportunity for local companies to secure stable sales channels through cooperation with large corporations and public institutions. The achievement of approximately 11.2 billion KRW in consultation amounts is an important indicator confirming the growth potential of Pocheon’s small and medium enterprises,” and added, “Based on this achievement, we will continue various supports so that companies can grow and contribute to revitalizing the local economy.”
