The 20th Pocheon Baegun Valley Dongjanggun Festival, hosted by Pocheon City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Young-hyun) and organized by the Baegun Valley Merchants Cooperative, was held on the 21st at Baegun Valley.
According to Pocheon City on the 23rd, the Dongjanggun Festival, now in its 20th year, is Pocheon's representative winter festival. Until February 2, 2025, the festival will showcase a harmonious blend of attractions, activities, and food, including the symbolic Ice Tree, snow sledding, ice fishing, and igloo experiences.
Especially this year, the festival expanded children's rides such as Mini Viking, Euro Bungee, Air Bounce, and Dinosaur Rider to create an environment where children can play freely. Additionally, food prices have been frozen to allow visitors to enjoy the festival without financial burden.
Lee Jong-jin, the chairman of the organizing committee, said, "We thank everyone who visited the festival site," and added, "All residents will do their best to ensure a safe and enjoyable festival."
Baek Young-hyun, mayor of Pocheon City, expressed gratitude to the residents who worked hard to prepare the festival despite the cold weather and to the tourists who visited. He said, "We hope families create precious memories at the Pocheon Baegun Valley Dongjanggun Festival, which was created by the residents themselves."
