Samwoo International Receives Minister of Environment Award for ESG Contributions

Samwoo International was recognized for its contributions to ESG management and industrial development and received the Minister of Environment Award.


On the 20th, at the 19th Korea Social Contribution Awards ceremony held at the Korea Press Center, Samwoo International was honored for its leadership in addressing global environmental issues and for realizing the value of "responsible consumption and production."


Samwoo International has made the development of new materials through the utilization of waste resources its core strategy, and is building a sustainable economic model by introducing a circular resource system. It received high praise for leading the future of the environmental ecosystem by developing new materials that can be applied in various fields such as sports facilities and tracks through technological innovation beyond simple recycling.


Kim Young-bae, Chairman of the Korea Social Contribution Foundation, said, "The purpose of this awards ceremony is to realize sustainable management through social contribution," adding, "We hope that many more meritorious individuals will be discovered in the future and that their efforts will form a social consensus."


Lee Min-sook, CEO of Samwoo International, expressed her gratitude, saying, "It is an honor to receive the meaningful Minister of Environment Award," and added, "We will continue to strengthen ESG management and carry out various activities that lead to positive changes in local communities and the environment."
