According to the county on the 23rd, the equipment used for emergency recovery such as snow removal and removal of snow damage trees included 470 units of machinery such as excavators and over 600 personnel, with costs reaching 475 million KRW.

Governor Jeon Jin-seon expressed gratitude to the 77 local medium-sized companies that responded more swiftly than anyone else to the urgent disaster situation, stating, “Considering the more difficult economic conditions than ever, we have taken measures to promptly execute payments for the manpower and equipment used in snow removal.”

The county confirmed approximately 4 billion KRW in private property damage from the heavy snowfall through the Ministry of the Interior and Safety. Although the damage amount did not reach 4.9 billion KRW to qualify for national treasury support, the county received full support for both the national treasury portion and the county’s share from Gyeonggi Province. The disaster relief funds granted this time are scheduled to be paid to the affected individuals starting next month.

The county plans to actively support the rapid restoration of residents and facilities essential for their livelihoods. If necessary, it will actively utilize nearby military units and local organizations to provide administrative support so that affected farms can quickly return to their livelihoods.
