The Rural Creative Tour project aims to promote sustainable rural tourism and regional economic revitalization by developing and operating creative tourism products tailored to local characteristics by linking rural experiential recreation villages with nearby tourist resources.

This year, Gapyeong-gun operated three rural tourism products, attracting about 1,790 tourists and achieving sales of approximately 350 million KRW in the experiential villages and surrounding commercial areas. Through this, it contributed to increasing the resident population and revitalizing the local economy.

Next year, a total project cost of 250 million KRW, including 125 million KRW in national subsidies, will be invested to improve the quality of rural experiential content and strengthen the brand image. Accordingly, next year, programs combining experiential villages and tourist resources will be operated under the brand "Experience Nation Republic in Gapyeong + Adding Culture."

The programs include △ Wish Fulfillment Experience Concert △ Spicy Busking! Enjoy Gapyeong △ You Are More Beautiful Than Flowers, Walk Only on Flower Paths, featuring local artists to provide special experiences and encourage revisits. A total of 14 locations, including five experiential villages, will participate in the project, which will be promoted in collaboration with travel agencies by the Gapyeong-gun Experiential Village Association.

An official from the county stated, "Through the Rural Creative Tour Support Project, we will strive to establish a unique rural tourism model exclusive to Gapyeong and significantly contribute to increasing the resident population and revitalizing the rural economy."
