Yeoncheon-gun, Gyeonggi Province (Governor Kim Deok-hyun) announced on the 23rd that it achieved its 2024 Hometown Love Donation Program fundraising goal of 200 million KRW on the 20th. Compared to the same period last year, approximately 70 million KRW was additionally raised.
It appears that the hearts of about 1,500 donors who love Yeoncheon, supported by efforts from expatriates nationwide, agricultural and livestock cooperatives officials, and local media, came together to accomplish this.
In particular, promotional activities targeting the Nonghyup IT Branch (Uiwang City), Korea Railroad Corporation, and local alumni associations, along with aggressive marketing, seem to have played a significant role.
Kim Deok-hyun, Governor of Yeoncheon-gun, stated, “Following last year, the precious donations sent with support for the development of Yeoncheon-gun this year have gathered to achieve the county’s fundraising goal. Starting from each donor’s contribution, we will discover and carefully use projects essential for Yeoncheon-gun’s development.”
Yeoncheon-gun is conducting a year-end appreciation event for donors from November 1 to December 20, and plans to announce the winners and provide additional gifts through the Yeoncheon-gun Office website on the 24th.
