Choi Won-ho, Chairman of the Nuclear Safety and Security Commission, visited Saeul Units 3 and 4, currently under construction at the Saeul Nuclear Power Headquarters in Ulju-gun, Ulsan, on the 23rd as his first external schedule after taking office. He inspected the construction status of key facilities such as the reactors and the safety management status of the construction site during the winter season.

According to the NSSC, Chairman Choi checked the preparedness for natural disasters in winter, prevention of nuclear power plant accidents and malfunctions, and the overall safety management status of the nuclear power plant under construction through this site inspection.

Chairman Choi focused on verifying the safety management status of workplaces with high fire risk, such as welding sites, and ordered thorough safety management for construction sites where incidents are relatively more likely to occur.

He urged the personnel involved in the nuclear power plant construction site, saying, "Since the safety of a nuclear power plant is greatly influenced by how meticulously the construction process, including concrete pouring, is carried out, please make every effort to ensure construction quality during the winter season."
