AI language data specialist Flitto announced on the 23rd that it has partnered with KORAIL Networks to provide a real-time AI multilingual interpretation and translation solution at the ticket counters of Busan Station.
Flitto offers its self-developed AI-based real-time conversational translation service, ‘Chat Translation Enterprise.’ Installed at three ticket counters in Busan Station, it supports smooth communication between foreign users and station staff. It supports major languages such as English, Chinese, and Japanese, as well as up to 38 languages, greatly enhancing convenience for foreign visitors from various countries visiting Busan.
Chat Translation Enterprise utilizes real-time speech-to-text (STT) technology and an advanced machine translation (MT) engine to deliver fast and accurate translation results. Its strength lies in providing natural translations that consider context, enabling clearer communication of overall meaning.
During the solution implementation process, Flitto analyzed key terms used in domestic railway stations, including Busan Station, and built a specialized glossary (Translation Memory, TM). This was trained into the AI engine to improve on-site applicability. By accumulating accurate translation data for transportation-related technical terms and proper nouns, it ensures precise translation services for major facilities within the station.
