Completion of One Year of Professional and Systematic Gifted Education in Information
The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education Information Gifted Education Center (Director Lee Seong-hwan) held the '2024 Busan Information Gifted Education Center Completion Ceremony' on the 21st at the auditorium of the Busan Education Research Information Center, attended by about 400 people including gifted education students, graduates, parents, and instructors.
At the ceremony, a total of 238 gifted students in the information field completed the program: 80 first-year middle school students, 145 second- and third-year middle school students, and 13 first-year high school students.
These students completed professional and systematic educational programs including basic common courses focused on SW·AI education, advanced courses, and specialized areas such as programming languages, robotics, and creative fields. The graduates presented the results they achieved at this ceremony, following last year.
Lee Seong-hwan, Director of the Busan Information Gifted Education Center, said, “In this era of digital transformation, we hope that the student-centered customized gifted education at the Information Gifted Education Center will nurture students' creative computational thinking and become a meaningful platform for them to grow into core digital talents.”
Having produced over 5,000 graduates in the past 23 years, the Busan Information Gifted Education Center is leading the cultivation of talents who will drive digital future innovation in Busan and South Korea, establishing itself as a hub of information gifted education representing the region.
