The Korea Financial Investment Association announced on the 23rd that it has donated approximately 17 million KRW to the Korea Heart Foundation to help patients with heart disease.
This donation was made as a matching grant fund, combining contributions accumulated from the salaries of employees with support funds from the association.
The donated funds will be used for medical environment improvement projects such as supporting surgery costs for pediatric and adult heart disease patients who have difficulty receiving treatment due to financial hardship, overseas training for pediatric heart medical staff, and support for overseas patients.
The Korea Financial Investment Association has been partnered with the Korea Heart Foundation since 2013 and has been steadily providing donation support for 12 years up to this year.
Kim Jin-eok, Head of External Policy at the Korea Financial Investment Association, said, "Just as the financial investment industry strives to maintain market vitality amid social unrest and economic turbulence, we hope this donation brings new hope and courage to heart disease patients."
