On the same day, Trump attended the America Fest Conference held by Turning Point USA, the largest youth conservative organization in the U.S., in Phoenix, Arizona, and said, "President Putin said he wants to meet me as soon as possible."

He added, "We have to wait, but we must end the war," and said, "War is terrible and horrible."

Earlier, President-elect Trump had repeatedly pledged to end the Ukraine war immediately after his inauguration in January next year. In his first press conference after winning the election on the 16th, he also stated that he would talk with the two national leaders to achieve peace between Russia and Ukraine. He criticized the Biden administration for allowing the use of long-range missiles provided by the U.S. to Ukraine to attack Russian territory. After President Putin responded at his annual press conference on the 19th by saying, "I am ready to meet Trump," it is analyzed that Trump reiterated his intention to hold an early meeting with the two leaders after his inauguration to discuss ending the war.

President-elect Trump mentioned that the number of dying soldiers is very high, saying, "The only thing that can stop planes, bullets, and guns is the human body," referring to the many soldiers who have died due to the war.

Not only Russia but also Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is actively showing willingness to talk with President-elect Trump. At a press conference held in Brussels, Belgium, during the European Union (EU) summit on the 19th, President Zelensky expressed his hope that "President-elect Trump will stand on our side" and showed his willingness to engage in dialogue with him.

Additionally, President-elect Trump said on the same day that the fees for U.S. Navy and commercial ships are too high and that he might demand the Panamanian government return ownership of the Panama Canal. He also reaffirmed his intention to immediately abolish the Biden administration's environmental policies and increase fossil fuel production upon taking office.

President-elect Trump stated, "On the first day of my inauguration, I will end all of Biden's regulations related to energy production," adding, "I will repeal the electric vehicle mandate, cancel the ban on natural gas exports, reopen the world's largest oil field in Alaska, and declare a national energy emergency," suggesting plans to resume oil and gas drilling in the U.S. He has criticized the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), which focuses on expanding electric vehicles and other policies, as the "Green New Scam." The IRA is an ambitious environmental bill promoted by the Biden administration to address the climate crisis and was passed in Congress under Democratic leadership.
