BNK Busan Bank, Over 350 Employees Participate in Regional Volunteer Activities

Various Volunteer Activities Including Environmental Cleanup and Upcycling Conducted

BNK Busan Bank (President Bang Seong-bin) celebrated Regional Volunteer Day with over 350 employees participating in various volunteer activities such as briquette sharing, environmental cleanup, and upcycling across 16 districts and counties in the Busan area.

The volunteer groups from Busanjin-gu and Dong-gu collaborated with the Briquette Bank to visit Anchang Village in Dong-gu, conducting a briquette sharing volunteer activity to support 1,000 vulnerable households enduring a cold winter.

The Jung-gu volunteer group carried out sorting and cleaning of reusable ice packs at the Jung-gu Office, while the Saha-gu volunteer group engaged in upcycling by making card wallets at the Saha-gu Volunteer Center. Other district and county volunteer groups conducted environmental cleanup activities at popular spots frequented by citizens, including Haeundae Beach, major city parks, and Oncheoncheon Stream.

Kang Seok-rae, Head of Management Strategy at Busan Bank, stated, “We hope that the briquettes delivered through the Love Briquette Sharing activity will help local residents have a warm winter,” adding, “Busan Bank will continue to carry out various social contribution activities to share warmth with our society.”

Since June last year, Busan Bank has reorganized volunteer groups across 16 districts and counties in the Busan area and designated the third Saturday of every month as ‘Regional Volunteer Day’ to conduct diverse volunteer activities.
