On the afternoon of the 21st, Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon-gu, attended the 'Christmas Market' held at the Gyeongchun Line Gongneung Forest Trail.
The Gyeongchun Line Gongneung Forest Trail Christmas Market event was organized to revitalize the local commercial district, which has slowed down as winter approaches, and to provide residents with a warm year-end atmosphere in celebration of Christmas.
The event venue was composed of ▲a flea market ▲food booths ▲experience booths, offering various pleasures to visitors. At the flea market, Christmas decorations and gift items were sold, while the food booths received great responses with warm foods and drinks suitable for the cold weather, as well as Christmas-themed desserts.
The experience booths, which included making Christmas soap, wreaths, and ornaments, as well as face painting, were popular among family visitors.
The 'Every Corner of the Alley' program, prepared to revitalize the alleyway commercial district, also received great responses. At the 'Find Santa' event and SNS certification event, Santa hats and Rudolph headbands were given out, bringing small joys to residents.
A variety of performances, including singer Kim Bo-kyung's stage, a cappella, classical violin, and saxophone performances, provided a rich visual experience. In particular, the 'Gyeongchun Line Gongneung Forest Trail Light Street,' lit up on the 11th, enhanced the Christmas atmosphere and attracted many visitors.
Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon-gu, said, “I am pleased that the Christmas Market has revitalized the sluggish local commercial district and given residents warm memories,” adding, “We will continue to prepare various programs for local economic revitalization and cultural enjoyment for residents.”
