"Courageous Democracy, Fostering Competent Talent"
The Gwangju City Party of the Democratic Party of Korea held the launch ceremony of the "Gwangju Political Talent 100-Year School" along with core party member training on the 20th at the Kim Daejung Convention Center. The event was attended by about 200 people, including Yang Bunam, the city party chairman, assembly members Jung Jinwook, Cho Incheol, and Jung Junho, Seo District Mayor Kim Ikang, Nam District Mayor Kim Byungnae, and key party members. The Gwangju City Branch of the Democratic Party of Korea announced on the 21st that it held a core party member training session at the Kim Daejung Convention Center on the afternoon of the 20th.
The Democratic Party's Gwangju City Branch's "Political School," named the "Gwangju Political Talent 100-Year School," was held under the theme "Courageous Democracy, Fostering Competent Political Talent." Approximately 200 people attended the training, including Yang Bunam, the city branch chair, lawmakers Jung Jinwook, Cho Incheol, and Jung Junho, Seo-gu Mayor Kim Ikang, Nam-gu Mayor Kim Byungnae, as well as elected officials and core party members.
The "Gwangju Political Talent 100-Year School" began with a lecture by Choi Jungmook, head of the Local Data Research Institute, titled "Social Change in Korea and the Role of the Gwangju City Branch." This was followed by a gender awareness education session by Ahn Kyungju, head of the Chungnam Social Innovation Center, titled "The First Clue to Solving the Population Crisis," an inauguration ceremony and a report and lecture by Yang Bunam on the impeachment of Yoon Sukyeol, and a lecture by Hwang Hyunpil, head of the Correcting History Research Association, titled "History for Progress."
Today's lectures focused on the undermining of democracy following Yoon Sukyeol's declaration of martial law, the process leading to the lifting of martial law and impeachment, and condemnation of Yoon Sukyeol as the main culprit of the rebellion.
Meanwhile, during the political school, Yang Bunam presented hats to lawmakers Seo Yonggyu, Moon Sunhwa, Ahn Hyungju, Oh Youngsun, Shin Jonghyuk, Kim Youngsun, Jung Dalseong, and Park Haewon, who shaved their heads on the 9th in protest calling for Yoon Sukyeol's impeachment, drawing attention from attendees.
The Democratic Party's Gwangju City Branch plans to foster competent talents who will lead democracy through active talent education, starting with the launch ceremony of the Gwangju Political Talent 100-Year School.
