In collaboration with a kitchen equipment company, they replaced the dark-colored handles with bright-colored ones and developed various types of handles to prevent safety accidents such as collisions within the cafeterias.
They distributed over 1,300 of the developed safety handles to 181 school cafeterias in the Ulsan area.
In industrial safety, color is an important factor that enhances safety by warning of danger and conveying information.
The Ulsan Office of Education utilized the visual effects of color to prevent collision accidents and improve the working environment. They also produced a video demonstrating the replacement method to support easy replacement at schools.
This project is expected to contribute not only to budget savings but also to securing the safety of cafeteria workers and creating a pleasant working environment.
An official from the Ulsan Office of Education stated, “We will continue to identify and improve risk factors in school cafeterias to create an environment where workers can work with peace of mind.”
