On the afternoon of the 20th, Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon District, attended the 1st Startup Entrepreneurship Expo held at the district office auditorium.
The district, in collaboration with Induk University, organized the '1st Startup Entrepreneurship Expo' to help early-stage startups establish themselves steadily in the market.
The expo began with a pre-event called the 'Startup IN Competition.' This competition, designed to provide aspiring entrepreneurs with opportunities for challenge and achievement, featured pre-registered participants promoting their ideas and products.
In the main event, the 'IR Demo Day,' local startups were evaluated for growth potential through meetings with investors. After judging by five experts, four companies were selected, each receiving a total prize of 4 million won.
A 'Networking' program, offering one-on-one startup consultations and investor connections, was also held. Entrepreneurs refined their business directions through professional feedback and increased their chances of securing actual investments by meeting potential investors.
Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon District, stated, "The Startup Entrepreneurship Expo, held for the first time this year, is a valuable opportunity for aspiring entrepreneurs and startups to lay the foundation for growth," adding, "We will continue to contribute to revitalizing the local economy and creating jobs through various startup support programs."
