Mayor Bang was acknowledged for his dedication to promoting citizen happiness policies, faithfully implementing the pledges of the 8th local government term, laying the foundation for realizing a self-sufficient city of 500,000 residents, and improving residents' happiness and quality of life by caring for socially vulnerable groups.
He also took the lead in resolving residents' pending projects by promoting the construction of sports facilities on the site of the public stadium in Gwangdong-ri, Toechon-myeon, through close consultations with the Hangang River Basin Environmental Office. His diverse efforts to revitalize the local economy, create jobs, and support employment projects for vulnerable groups such as the elderly, women, and people with disabilities were highly praised for boosting the grassroots economy.
Mayor Bang Se-hwan expressed, “As an elected official, I feel a heavy responsibility for the expectations citizens have placed on me,” adding, “I understand this as a call to work harder and will continue to do my best to make our city the most livable in the metropolitan area.”
