On the 20th, Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam selected three small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that contributed to local job creation despite difficult economic conditions as the ‘2024 Excellent Job Creation Companies’ and awarded them plaques of commendation.
The ‘Changwon City Excellent Job Creation Companies’ system identifies companies that create quality jobs in the private sector and provides benefits to SMEs that contribute not only to employment growth but also to the hiring of local residents, youth, and vulnerable groups, as well as the improvement of labor welfare environments. The purpose is to spread a positive atmosphere for creating good jobs in the private sector.
The recent call for applications was held in October, and after document evaluation, on-site inspection, and expert review, the companies finally selected were △ Sangrim MSP Co., Ltd. △ Youngpoong Electronics Co., Ltd. △ Ire Industry Co., Ltd.
Sangrim MSP received excellent evaluations for newly hiring 75% local residents in the large machine tool remanufacturing sector and for introducing various systems to enhance employee welfare.
Youngpoong Electronics, producing electronic control devices and parts in the defense industry, was highly praised for increasing employment by 25 people over one year and hiring 31 local residents, contributing to the local community.
Ire Industry, in the field of measurement automation, received excellent evaluations in work-family balance as a family-friendly certified company along with employment growth.
The selected companies will receive benefits such as ▲ 10 million KRW support for facility environment improvements including worker rest areas ▲ special support for Changwon City SME development funds ▲ a three-year deferral of local tax audits.
Hong Nampyo, Mayor of Changwon Special City, said, “I thank the company representatives who took the lead in creating a good working environment and generating new jobs despite difficult economic conditions,” and added, “We will spare no support so that our companies can grow in better environments and create more jobs.”
