Attending the lottery were Gumi City Council members Kang Seung-su and Jeong Ji-won, along with Park Jeong-eun, Director of the Planning and Coordination Office. To ensure fairness, Ryu Ji-yoon, Head of the Gumi City Branch of NongHyup Bank, and Kim Eun-jung, Taxpayer Protection Officer from the Audit Department, also participated.

This computerized lottery was conducted using the local tax information system with a random electronic drawing method to enhance fairness.

Since 2009, Gumi City has implemented the "Ordinance on Support for Diligent Taxpayers in Gumi City," providing various benefits to diligent taxpayers. This year, selected taxpayers will receive Gumi Love Gift Certificates worth 100,000 KRW and a one-year free pass to use Gumi City public parking lots.

As a result of the electronic lottery, among 159,103 taxpayers who paid their regular local taxes on time without arrears, 100 were selected to receive the Gumi Love Gift Certificates.

Additionally, among 117,032 taxpayers who either paid their annual automobile tax in a lump sum or paid their regular automobile tax on time without arrears, 30 were chosen to receive free public parking passes. Incentives will be delivered to winners via registered mail.

Han Seung-woo, Director of the Taxation Division, said, "We thank the citizens who have diligently paid local taxes despite the difficult economic situation. We will continue to enhance the pride of diligent taxpayers and realize tax administration that citizens can feel. We will also prepare more diverse support measures to spread a culture of voluntary tax payment."
