The Only Construction Company with 'Very Excellent' Grade for Two Consecutive Years

The evaluation targeted participants in public construction projects with a total construction cost of 20 billion KRW or more. This year, the safety management level evaluation was conducted on 318 participants across 257 sites, and HJ Heavy Industries earned the highest grade of 'Excellent.' Only three construction companies were selected for this top grade. HJ Heavy Industries also received an 'Excellent' rating last year. It is the only construction company to have achieved the highest grade for two consecutive years.

The safety management level evaluation is a system implemented since 2017 to assess the safety accident prevention activities of construction project participants and publicly disclose the results to encourage voluntary safety management activities.

HJ Heavy Industries conducts safety and health inspections every month, with CEO Kim Wan-seok and all headquarters executives visiting their respective responsible sites. Starting this year, they have been running the NOK (No Risk! Prevention OK!) campaign under the slogan "No Risk Factors! Prevention Activities OK!" by setting seasonal key management items and conducting monthly inspections. This winter, the focus is on preventing "confined space suffocation accidents, cold-related illnesses, and fire accidents." Additionally, they hold an annual safety and health meeting inviting CEOs of partner companies.

An HJ Heavy Industries official stated, "We apply a policy of absolute non-compromise regarding safety and health," and added, "We will continue to prioritize safety, health, and quality as our top values and strive to become an advanced safety and health company."
