Seosan City in Chungnam announced on the 20th that the Seosan City Steering Committee of the Korea Specialty Contractors Association has participated in helping underprivileged neighbors in the area by donating 3 million won.

The city held a donation ceremony at the mayor's office on the same day, attended by Mayor Lee Wan-seop, Ahn Yeon-gil, Chairman of the Seosan City Steering Committee of the Korea Specialty Contractors Association, Vice Chairman Kim Jong-dae, and Secretary General Kim Tae-su.

The donated funds will be delivered to local neighbors in need through the Chungnam Community Chest of Korea.

The Seosan City Steering Committee of the Korea Specialty Contractors Association has consistently donated funds every year to help marginalized neighbors, and last November delivered 40 boxes (10kg per box) of kimchi to 40 households in need.

In particular, the committee contributed to the development of the local community by sponsoring 8 million won for the successful operation of the 76th Chungcheongnam-do Provincial Sports Festival held in June this year.

Ahn Yeon-gil, Chairman of the Seosan City Steering Committee, said, "With the mindset of always being together with our local neighbors, we will continue to practice sharing for mutual growth."

Mayor Lee Wan-seop said, "I would like to thank the Seosan City Steering Committee of the Korea Specialty Contractors Association for practicing sharing even in difficult circumstances for the construction industry, such as the local economic downturn, rising raw material prices, and high interest rates."

Meanwhile, the Seosan City Steering Committee of the Korea Specialty Contractors Association is composed of 180 members and contributes to the local community through activities such as environmental clean-up, donation of funds, and sharing kimchi.
