Hwaseong-si "Managing Parks and Green Spaces Smartly"

'Smart Park Greenery System' to be Applied in Work from Next Year

Hwaseong City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 20th that it will officially apply the 'Hwaseong City Smart Park and Green Space System' to its operations starting January next year to digitalize urban park and green space management and implement systematic data-driven administration.

This system is a program aimed at the digital transformation of park and green space facility management by building a systematic spatial information database (DB) to enhance the efficiency of urban park administration. The program includes functions such as ▲integrated inquiry of park creation status and tasks ▲facility management based on map services ▲systematic construction management ▲park usage and fine imposition ▲management and statistical support for street trees and protected trees.

Prior to the system's operation, the city held a system demonstration on the 16th at the Hwaseong City Life Culture Center, attended by the head of the Park and Green Space Division and related officials, as well as representatives from the service provider.

Jung Myung-geun, Mayor of Hwaseong City, stated, "Through this system, we have laid the foundation to maximize the utilization of data related to parks and green spaces," adding, "We will develop the system further to provide citizens with a better environment and systematic services."
