Mayor Ikwonjae: "We Will Strengthen Infrastructure to Attract Excellent Companies"
Osan City, Gyeonggi Province, announced on the 20th that it held the final report meeting for the 'Osan City Comprehensive Industrial Promotion and Development Strategy Establishment Project' on the 19th at the city hall situation room.

At the report meeting, conducted by the Local Administration Development Institute, the future industrial development direction of Osan City was presented, and strategies for sustainable economic growth were explored. Through the six-month project conducted since June, the city set an industrial development direction considering regional characteristics and potential, and prepared strategies to strengthen competitiveness.
The results of this project, which cover various fields including analysis of the local industrial structure, corporate attraction plans, industrial infrastructure expansion, and innovation cluster establishment, are explained by the city to serve as important guidelines for leading the city’s industrial policies.
The report included ▲ establishment of Osan City industrial database (DB) ▲ presentation of vision and strategies for discovering specialized industries ▲ identification of key industries for focused development and establishment of mid- to long-term promotion strategies ▲ execution plans for core tasks.
Lee Gwon-jae, Mayor of Osan City, said, "This strategy establishment will greatly contribute to the industrial development and revitalization of the local economy in Osan City," adding, "We will strengthen infrastructure to attract excellent companies by developing idle city land into industrial complexes and improving roads and transportation infrastructure."
Based on the results of this project, the city plans to establish concrete execution plans and gradually implement policies. In particular, it intends to closely cooperate with universities, companies, and research institutions to achieve practical effects such as corporate attraction, job creation, and local economic revitalization.
