[2025 Regular Admission Special] Hanyang University Awards 50% Scholarships to All First Successful Applicants in Group B Kim Young-pil, Director of Admissions, Hanyang University

Hanyang University will provide scholarships for two years to all initially admitted students in the Group B general admission track. This excludes students in the arts and physical education departments and special admissions. The scholarship covers 50% of tuition fees, and the condition to maintain the scholarship is a minimum GPA of 3.75 for scholarship purposes in the previous semester. The number of semesters registered by the recipient will be counted, and scholarships will be awarded within the maximum supported semesters.

The general admission for Groups A, B, and C in the regular admissions will be based 100% on the CSAT scores without reflecting school records. The CSAT subject weightings for the natural sciences track are 25% Korean, 40% Mathematics, 10% English, and 25% Inquiry (Social Studies or Science). For the humanities track, the weightings are 35% Korean, 30% Mathematics, 10% English, and 25% Inquiry (Social Studies or Science). For the business track, the weightings are 35% Korean, 35% Mathematics, 10% English, and 20% Inquiry (Social Studies or Science). Two subjects from the Inquiry area are reflected for all tracks. Korean and Mathematics scores use the CSAT standard scores, while the Inquiry area applies the university’s own converted standard scores. English and Korean History use grade levels.

For the 2025 academic year, the natural sciences track at Hanyang University has abolished the mandatory CSAT subjects. Unlike previous years where students had to choose Geometry or Calculus in Mathematics and two science inquiry subjects, from 2025 onwards, all tracks can apply without restrictions on subject selection. Humanities, natural sciences, business, Hanyang Intercollege Division, and the Department of Theater and Film (Film) must take two subjects in either Social Studies or Science Inquiry. The Department of Theater and Film (Directing and Staff, Acting) and the Department of Sports Industry Science (Sports Management, Sports Science) must take one subject in either Social Studies or Science Inquiry.

The newly established Group C in the regular admissions will select 60 students for the non-major Hanyang Intercollege Division. The CSAT subject weightings are the same as those for the business track. The College of Music’s Vocal Music, Composition, and Orchestral Music departments have changed their recruitment group from Group B to Group A for the 2025 academic year.

To cultivate creative semiconductor talents equipped with both theoretical and practical skills, 8 students will be selected outside the quota in Group B for the Department of Semiconductor Engineering. All admitted students in this department will receive full tuition coverage and academic incentives. When signing employment contracts with SK Hynix in their 3rd or 4th year, students will receive full tuition support, semiconductor process line and design-related education, the latest learning devices, and smart lecture rooms. After graduation, benefits related to employment as semiconductor researchers at SK Hynix will also be provided.

Hanyang University will reflect measures related to school violence in this regular admissions process. If any school violence incidents are confirmed in any admission track, depending on the severity, the Admissions Management Committee will review and may apply score deductions or disqualification.
