Department of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, Group C Selection
Ewha Womans University will select 1,154 students, accounting for 35.3% of the total admission quota of 3,270 for the 2025 regular admission. The admission types are divided into the CSAT Admission, CSAT (Arts and Physical Education Practical) Admission, and Practical·Achievement (Arts and Physical Education Practical) Admission, and 189 students will be selected through the Opportunity Equalization Admission outside the quota.
Starting this academic year, Ewha Womans University has newly established the 'Group D' for regular admissions. The Department of Artificial Intelligence Data Science will be selected in Group D. Also, some departments of the College of Education, which previously belonged to 'Group B,' will now be selected in 'Group A.' These include the Department of Educational Technology, Special Education, Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, and some of Secondary Education (English, Korean, Mathematics). This change is expected to provide examinees with more options.
The CSAT Admission will recruit 818 students. This admission type selects candidates based on 100% CSAT scores and is operated by dividing into integrated selection by academic field and selection by college/department. The integrated selection by academic field categorizes applicants into humanities and natural sciences based on their CSAT test areas without distinguishing recruitment units, recruiting a total of 323 students (174 in humanities and 149 in natural sciences). The College of Education, Department of Medicine, School of Nursing, College of Pharmacy, Scranton College (Department of Brain and Cognitive Sciences), some departments of the College of Engineering, and the Department of Artificial Intelligence Data Science in the College of Artificial Intelligence will select a total of 495 students by college/department.
Since 2018, Ewha Womans University has introduced and operated integrated selection by academic field in regular admissions. Admitted students belong to the Hakma College of Liberal Arts and undergo a one-year major exploration process before freely choosing the major that suits them best. Through major briefings and fairs, freshmen are provided opportunities to receive direct major and career counseling from professors and seniors. Mentoring programs that assist in career planning and interpersonal relationship building, academic exploration support activities, and expert invitation forums are also provided.
The CSAT (Arts and Physical Education Practical) Admission recruits 214 students from the College of Fine Arts and the Department of Physical Education in the College of New Industry Convergence. In the first stage, candidates are selected based on 100% CSAT scores at a certain multiple (5 times for the College of Fine Arts and 4 times for the Department of Physical Education), and in the second stage, the final selection is made by combining practical test scores (40%) and first-stage scores (60%). The first-stage successful candidates will be announced on January 8 next year, and the practical tests will be held on January 14 for the College of Fine Arts and January 18 for the Department of Physical Education.
The Practical·Achievement (Arts and Physical Education Practical) Admission selects 122 students from the College of Music in Group B, determining the final successful candidates by combining 40% CSAT scores and 60% practical test scores. The practical tests are scheduled to be held from January 20 to 22 next year.
Ewha Womans University operates various support programs through the Talent Development Center and the Future Innovation Center to help enrolled students design a future that matches their dreams and aptitudes. These institutions provide systematic systems and educational courses that assist students in independently exploring their careers and achieving their goals.
