Group D, Selection of Deferred Students from Division of Liberal Arts
Sejong University will select 1,313 new students in the regular admission for the 2025 academic year.
509 students will be recruited in Group A, 804 in Group B, and Group C will select transferred students for the Division of Liberal Arts and Sciences. In addition to department-specific admissions, integrated admissions will be conducted for the Humanities and Social Sciences, Business and Hotel Tourism, Natural Life Sciences, IT, and Engineering fields.
Two advanced departments, the Department of Intelligent Information Convergence and the Department of Content Software, have also been newly established. Along with the Department of Smart Life Industry Convergence, the Department of AI Robotics, the Department of Artificial Intelligence Data Science, and the Intelligent Drone Convergence Major in the Department of Aerospace Systems Engineering, a total of six advanced departments will select students through regular admissions. By admission type, 261 students will be selected through the General Student Admission, 21 through the Rural Students Admission, and 5 through the Specialized High School Graduate Admission, totaling 287 students.
The contract department 'Cyber Defense Admission,' established and operated through an agreement with the Army, has also been newly introduced for the 2025 academic year. In the first stage, four times the number of candidates are selected, and in the second stage, final successful candidates are selected based on first-stage scores, interview evaluations, physical fitness tests, and the Army Headquarters' supervised selection process. Additionally, Sejong University operates special admissions for military contract departments in Aviation Systems Engineering and Defense Systems Engineering.
The General Student Admission for Humanities and Natural Sciences fields reflects 100% of the College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT) scores. For the Arts and Physical Education fields, practical exam scores and school records (curriculum) are evaluated along with CSAT scores, depending on the recruitment unit. The Arts and Physical Education fields, except for the Film Arts Department's Directing and Production major and the Dance Department in Group A, are selected in Group B. However, the Dance Department only conducts regular admissions if there are unfilled spots from early admissions.
The CSAT reflects standard scores for Korean and Mathematics sections, converted standard scores for the Inquiry section, and grades for the English section. For the Humanities field, Korean accounts for 30%, Mathematics 30%, English 20%, and Inquiry (two subjects in Social Studies and Science) 20%. For the Natural Sciences field (excluding the Creative Software Department), Korean is 20%, Mathematics 35%, English 20%, and Inquiry (two subjects in Social Studies and Science) 25%. The Creative Software Department and the Division of Liberal Arts and Sciences apply 35% for Korean, 35% for Mathematics, 20% for English, and 10% for Inquiry (two subjects in Social Studies and Science). Except for contract departments, Humanities, Natural Sciences, and the Division of Liberal Arts and Sciences grant additional points based on Korean History grades: 10 points for grade 3 or higher, with a deduction of 0.2 points per grade from grade 4 onward.
The special admissions for Rural Students and Specialized High School Graduates recruited in Groups A and B select students based on 100% CSAT scores. For the Specialized High School Graduate Admission, applicants who took the vocational inquiry section of the CSAT are also eligible. The Specialized High School Graduate Employed Admission is a comprehensive student record admission designed for those who graduated from specialized high schools and are currently employed, selecting 10 students each for the Department of Hotel, Food Service, and Tourism Franchise Management and the Department of Global Culinary Arts in Group B.
Sejong University's regular admission application period is from the 31st of this month until 5 p.m. on January 3rd of next year. Applications are only accepted online; postal and in-person submissions are not allowed.
