Naver announced on the 20th that its second headquarters, 1784, has been recognized for its high level of safety management and received the 'Spatial Safety Certification' from the Korea Safety Certification Institute.

The Spatial Safety Certification is the only domestic corporate voluntary safety evaluation system supervised by the Fire Agency and administered by the Korea Safety Certification Institute. The evaluation consists of a total of 125 criteria across seven areas: ▲Safety Management ▲Building Disaster Prevention ▲Fire Safety ▲Hazardous Materials Safety ▲Facility Safety ▲Facility Performance Testing ▲New Technology and Facility Improvement, assessing the safety level from design and construction to operation and management stages of the workplace. Naver is the first internet platform company to obtain this certification.

In this evaluation, 1784 was highly rated for pioneering 21 spatial safety manuals and a fire disaster identification system optimized for smart buildings as the world's first robot-friendly building.

In fact, during a fire, over 100 service robots named 'Rookie' perform evacuation guidance based on an AI and cloud system linked to the building infrastructure.

Earlier, based on this advanced safety management system, Naver also received the prestigious 'Korea Safety Award' Presidential Prize from the Korea Safety Certification Institute in November.
