Gasoline Models to Launch from Mid-January Next Year
Bigger Size and Refreshed Look... Prices Starting at 43.83 Million Won
Hyundai Motor Company is accepting pre-orders for the new large sport utility vehicle (SUV) Palisade, scheduled for release early next year.
On the 20th, Hyundai announced the main specifications and prices of the completely redesigned Palisade model, 'The All-New Palisade,' and stated that pre-orders would begin from that day.
The Palisade is Hyundai's flagship large SUV. It returns as a completely redesigned model after six years since its first launch in November 2018. Compared to the previous generation, the overall length has increased by 65mm to 5060mm. The wheelbase (distance between the front and rear axles), which directly affects interior space, has also increased by 70mm to 2970mm.
For the first time in Hyundai's lineup, a 2.5 turbo hybrid is applied, delivering a combined motor output of 334 horsepower. It is equipped with a 1.65kWh 300V high-voltage lithium-ion battery, and it is explained that the driving range exceeds 1000km on a single refuel.
Along with this, a 2.5 turbo gasoline engine model will also be launched. It has a maximum output of 281 horsepower and a maximum torque of 43.0 kgf·m, with a combined fuel efficiency of 9.7 km/ℓ (based on the Ministry of Industry's fuel efficiency certification application figures).
Hyundai plans to deliver the new Palisade gasoline model to customers from mid-next month. The hybrid model will be shipped in the first half of next year after certification procedures. The gasoline model is priced between 43.83 million and 57.94 million KRW, and the hybrid model ranges from 49.82 million to 64.24 million KRW.
