Seongdong-gu, Seoul (Mayor Jeong Won-oh) received a donation of 100 million KRW on December 19 from Binau (CEO Ilju Lee, Daeyoung Kim) for low-income women's welfare through the '2025 Hope Ondol Warm Winter Campaign.'

The donated 100 million KRW is the highest single amount since the launch of the 'Hope Ondol Warm Winter Campaign' and will be used to support low-income single parents, unmarried mothers, and women with career experience in the region.

Binau, which donated the funds, is a cosmetics startup established in 2018 and opened its first official brand store in Seongsu-dong this February. In just five years since its brand launch, it has achieved remarkable growth and is expanding into a global beauty company.

Binau decided to donate to vulnerable groups in Seongdong-gu, believing that thanks to the positive image effect of the rapidly rising Seongsu-dong, it has become a new beauty landmark and a global tourist attraction in Seongsu-dong.

Ilju Lee, CEO of Binau, stated, “We are grateful to Seongdong-gu for enabling Binau to achieve great growth in Seongsu-dong. Our company will actively participate in sharing with a sense of social responsibility as a company that helps women facing difficulties in the local community through the beauty industry and works together with the community.”

Jeong Won-oh, Mayor of Seongdong-gu, said, “We appreciate the great donation made out of affection for Seongsu-dong and for vulnerable groups in Seongdong-gu. The donation will be used effectively according to the donor’s intention, and we hope to actively carry out various social contribution activities, including welfare projects linked with Seongdong-gu in the future.”
