Gwangju Agricultural Technology Center Supports Prevention of Electrical Facility Safety Accidents at Rural Experience and Healing Farms Gwangju Agricultural Technology Center is promoting an agricultural electric facility inspection and support project to prevent safety accidents during agricultural activities and to establish a safe agricultural environment as of the 17th. Provided by Gyeonggi Gwangju City

This project, conducted for 13 farms belonging to the Gwangju Rural Experience Healing Research Association, involved on-site inspections of electrical factors such as leakage, short circuits, and overuse, which are the main causes of fires in agricultural facilities. It provided an opportunity to fundamentally resolve and prevent hazardous environments by replacing outdated circuit breakers, installing grounding, and eliminating risk factors.

Along with this, theoretical and practical training (8 hours) through the general first aid course of the Korean Red Cross and fire prevention education were promoted to enhance farmers' response methods and safety awareness in emergency situations.

A farmer who participated in the project said, "Through this project, we were able to receive inspections and support in various ways, both physical and non-physical, for hazardous environments that we had neglected in daily life, which was a great help to the farm," and added, "Since safety accidents can happen in an instant, we need to be more vigilant about safety accidents during farm work."

Kim Min-su, director of the Gwangju Agricultural Technology Center, said, "I hope this project has greatly contributed to preventing safety accidents, and we will continue to provide support so that agricultural work safety accident prevention and a safe agricultural environment for farmers can be established."
