Gwangju Inja Committee Holds Joint Seminar for Local Workforce Training Institutions

On the 17th, the Gwangju Regional Human Resources Development Committee held the '2024 Regional Workforce Training Institutions Joint Seminar' at the Kim Daejung Convention Center. Provided by Gwangju Chamber of Commerce and Industry

The Gwangju Regional Human Resources Development Committee (hereinafter referred to as Gwangju HRDC) announced on the 19th that it held the "2024 Gwangju Regional Joint Seminar for Human Resources Training Institutions."

The seminar, held on the 17th at the Kimdaejung Convention Center, was attended by about 80 officials from local human resources training institutions and organizations involved in job creation support projects.

Gwangju HRDC conducts annual surveys on the regional supply and demand of human resources and, based on data analysis, establishes the "2025 Gwangju Regional Basic Plan for Human Resources Training."

This year, starting in March, a sample survey of 1,000 companies was conducted to identify the necessary job roles, workforce, and training positions in the region, which were then used to establish next year's basic plan for human resources training. The plan will be distributed to relevant training institutions and human resources development organizations.

During this seminar, Gwangju HRDC also presented the results of two in-depth demand surveys: "2024 Gwangju Regional AI Industry Status and Required Training Job Roles" and "Survey on the Status of the Gwangju Regional Automotive Parts Industry in Response to the Future Vehicle Transition."

In addition, Professor Shin Joohyun from the Department of New Industry Convergence at Chosun University delivered a lecture on "Industrial Digital Transformation and Regional Customized Human Resources Training Measures," followed by a presentation on how to apply training programs for new industries to Gwangju's human resources training institutions in the future.

Lee Hoohyung, Secretary General of Gwangju HRDC, stated, "We hope that the content presented at this seminar will serve as important basic data for next year's regional human resources training projects and job creation support projects," adding, "Institutions that require reports or materials can receive them through the secretariat, and consulting is also available if needed."
